Terms of Use

These conditions govern use of Camden County Criminal History. Accessing a page, reading its material, or submitting a search means that you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no affiliation with Camden County, the State of Missouri, or any federal agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to help readers locate Camden County and Missouri criminal-record resources. It is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site that operates independently of every public office. We neither store official criminal records nor obtain records, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a user.

Information here identifies custodians of Camden County records, including the Sheriff's Records Bureau, the 26th Judicial Circuit, the Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS repository, and the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. It may also connect visitors to outside research tools. Government access to those records is controlled separately by authorities such as the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 RSMo, and §43.527 RSMo.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Use bots, scraping software, or other automated tools on these pages
  • Violate a local, Missouri, or federal law through use of the site
  • Interfere with service performance or another person's access
  • Use site information to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or restricted area
  • Rely on site content for a hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decision

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information obtained here or through a linked service to intimidate, discriminate against, stalk, harass, or threaten anyone. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. The Missouri Sex Offender Registry is published for public-safety awareness, not vigilante conduct, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination. Misusing registry information to commit a crime against a registrant is illegal under Missouri law.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency as the FCRA defines that term. We do not create credit reports, background reports, or consumer reports. Our advertising partners and this site do not offer tools designed to assess applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. Information from these pages or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Approve, reject, retain, or terminate a worker
  • Make a decision governed by any other FCRA provision
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or public benefit

A legally permissible check for one of those purposes must be obtained from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or through the Missouri State Highway Patrol process required for that use.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. Although it describes Camden County record procedures, it cannot determine how an expungement rule, warrant, conviction, or charge affects a particular situation. Consult a Missouri-licensed attorney for legal guidance.

6. No Warranties

All content and features are provided "as is." We make no promise that:

  • A partner's search results will be accurate or complete
  • Every page is free from defects, bugs, or security weaknesses
  • The site will remain continuously available
  • Information will always be complete, correct, and current

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when records are closed or expunged. Delays and gaps are possible. No statement here is an official representation from the Camden County sheriff, a court, MSHP, or another government body.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to sheriff pages, court portals, Missouri agencies, legal-aid organizations, or independent search services. A destination is outside our control. We are not responsible for its availability, prices, privacy practices, or content, and users should review its terms before proceeding.

8. Intellectual Property

Camden County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required before copying, modifying, distributing, or creating derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information obtained here or from a linked provider.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from a demand, claim, or legal action caused by your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of this site must be brought in a court located in Missouri. For clarity, the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 RSMo, and §43.527 RSMo govern public-body records and MSHP criminal-history dissemination; they do not make this private website a state or Camden County agency.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision becomes effective when the updated text is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend, restrict, or end access to the site at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language will be modified only to the extent required to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be submitted through the Contact page.
